Prayer: Pursuit of Righteous Living

Thank you Lord for this day. Thank you for this opportunity. You wired me to enjoy learning and growth. You who are perfect. For you this process is clear. For you, the results are clear and already known because you know everything. You know the numbers of hairs on my head. You know the end from the beginning. Yet, you delight in my living. You delight in my choices. Yet, you take delight in my choice to walk with you in every moment, in every opportunity.

Knowing that above all else you are the GOD of love, I still struggle with consistent care. I struggle, to repeatedly demonstrate love via daily practices. Forgive me Lord for neglecting to honor you, your blessings, your people, your results. Forgive me for valuating the next result, the next adventure, the next opportunity over the current blessing and favor.

Lord, show me how to rebuild and maintain your “temple” in my daily living. Show me how to appreciate your favor, your blessings, your people everyday. Make the time spent caring and maintaining a sweet communion, an immersion of your presence, your favor and my tribe.

Haggai 2:4 calls for me to “Be strong…and work on your “temple”. For you are with me. This is your covenant with me since I came out of Egypt.. since I gave my life to Christ, when I chose you Lord over money, when I choose my marriage over selfishness. Your Spirit remains with me and my tribe. I will not fear. AMEN. Selah!
