You bought into the hype. You spent thousands on mentors, personal developments, and/or courses. You ignored the naysayers and did it anyway. And life didn’t change. Well, that’s not exactly true if you squint real hard and hold your head slightly to the left you can intentionally see a difference. However, when you stop intentionally holding that odd perspective it feels, smells, and looks the same. And you hold true to the adage that if it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it’s a duck.
Good news is that all that knowledge that you gained from the mentors, the workshops, the courses is in you. The opportunity now is to activate it, to make a new habit that utilizes the new knowledge. So here’s how you start the day and here’s how you end the day.
First Step. Change how you start and end your day
- Start the day. Embrace that the change you want to see takes intentional, consistent effort and practice. Embracing comes with daily practice.
- State out loud the outcome that you are committed to. (Ex. I commit to owning a million dollar asset before the end of the year)
- State out loud the reality that conflicts with the outcome. (Ex. Today I own $300K in assets)
- State the change that you are willing to do today. (Ex. Today I will add someone to my circle who owns million dollar assets)
- End the Day. Evaluate today’s efforts towards this outcome
- What results did I create for this outcome?
- What worked?
- What didn’t work?
- What’s next or different tomorrow?
